STTI’s Board Leadership Institute prepares nurses to be knowledgeable and responsive leaders on national and international boards. The Institute is a three-phase program, combining online and in-person activities, with each phase building on the last. The first phase is an online course, Best on Board™: Essentials of Healthcare Governance, which provides certification.
The second phase is a 2-day seminar, Board Leadership: Passion, Preparation & Power; the inaugural seminar will be held in Chicago, IL, June 24-25, 2013. This seminar will be facilitated by Dr. Connie Curran, a renowned corporate and nurse leader with strong board expertise. The third phase utilizes interactive webinars for personal mentoring.
We encourage all those interested in participating or leading a board to take advantage of Sigma Theta Tau International’s Board Leadership Institute.
