Superheroes of Caregiving Need Better Support
PBS's Next Avenue has produced a special report and compilation of articles, Transforming Life as we Age. The series includes an article by JAHF President Terry Fulmer, RN, PhD, FAAN, entitled "Superheroes of Caregiving Need Better Support."
Dr. Fulmer's piece illustrates how some caregivers face tremendous obstacles on a day to day basis. The article calls to support family caregivers so they do not have to summon superpowers to do their job. We need to provide our caregivers with a system of programs and resources so that we can help make their jobs a bit easier. Dr. Fulmer's article is a part of a larger series of articles called: Transforming Life as We AGE.
