Terry Fulmer Receives 2026 Lienhard Award from the National Academy of Medicine
JAHF President Emerita Terry Fulmer has received the 2026 Gustav O. Lienhard Award for Advancement of Health Care from the National Academy of Medicine.
The award honors Fulmer’s transformative leadership in improving health care for older adults, including her pioneering work in age-friendly care, nursing, geriatrics and nursing home quality.
Fulmer is the 41st recipient of the Lienhard Award. Given annually, the award recognizes outstanding national achievement in improving personal health care in the United States.
The award will be presented at the National Academy of Medicine's Annual Meeting on Oct. 18.
