TFAH, EDC and NAC Resource: Elder Mistreatment Prevention Toolkit for Public Health

TFAH EDC NAC toolkit

Trust for America’s Health (TFAH), Education Development Center (EDC), and the National Alliance for Caregiving (NAC) have co-developed a new resource for public health professionals, "The Elder Mistreatment Prevention Toolkit for Public Health."

Public health professionals are key to preventing elder mistreatment, and this toolkit is designed to support their work. Using the Age-Friendly Public Health Systems (AFPHS) 6Cs Framework, the toolkit includes guidance on creating and leading programs that incorporate elder mistreatment prevention, connect with partners to improve older adult health outcomes, collect relevant data, and complement existing public health programming.

The purpose of the toolkit is to connect elder mistreatment prevention work to ongoing public health work and help public health professionals collaborate with other community partners.
