The AGING Initiative: MCCs Scholars Program Applications Open
The Advancing Geriatrics Infrastructure & Network Growth (AGING) Initiative has announced the fifth cycle of the MCCs (Multiple Chronic Conditions) Scholars Program.
The AGING Initiative MCCs Scholars Program is a cohort of emerging leaders who are committed to pursuing training and collaborative opportunities to align their research interests and agendas with issues relevant to the health and healthcare of older adults with MCCs. This program fosters a nationwide community and mentoring network to extend and sustain MCC research by establishing the following:
- The AGING Initiative selects a new cohort of up to 10 Scholars per year.
- The scholarships provide travel and accommodations for a training workshop (with contingencies for COVID-19) as an introduction to the new cohort.
- Throughout the year, Scholars participate in six webinar-based career development teleconferences based on 4 curricular elements:
- Significance of Multiple Chronic Conditions
- Resources and tools for MCCs researchers
- Enabling meaningful patient/caregiver engagement
Professional/leadership development for investigators
Applications are due January 6, 2023.
