The Alliance for Health Policy has released the final report from its 2025 Signature Series on Aging in America. The report is titled, "The Future of Aging Policy in America."
The 2025 Signature Series on Aging in America was a yearlong, expert-led initiative focused on the pressing policy challenges and opportunities facing older adults, caregivers and our broader healthcare system. The report outlines strategies to better support older adults and those who care for them.
Key themes from the report include strengthening core programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, the Older Americans Act and Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS), as well as tackling urgent challenges like rising costs, inequities in access, caregiver burden and workforce shortages. The report also highlights innovative, person-centered approaches to promote equity, autonomy and healthier aging.
