The Geriatric Emergency Care Applied Research Network (2.0) – Advancing Dementia Care / Emergency Medicine Foundation / West Health Institute 2024-2025 Pilot Project Grant Opportunity
The Geriatric Emergency Care Applied Research (GEAR) Network applications are open for their GEAR Network (2.0) Advancing Dementia Care / Emergency Medicine Foundation / West Health Institute Pilot Project Grant Program 2024-2025 Pilot Award funding opportunity.
The goal of the pilot funding is to promote transdisciplinary research in geriatric emergency medicine that will advance emergency medical care for persons living with dementia and their care partners. The GEAR 2.0 research priorities are:
- Communication and shared decision-making
- Dementia detection
- Emergency department (ED) care practices
- ED care transitions
Up to three 1-year pilot proposals will be awarded $150,000 each. Applicant office hours are being held December 15 from 2pm-2.30pm EST.
Applications are due January 19, 2024.
