USAging Request for Proposals: Strengthening Social Connection in Communities
USAging’s Strengthening Social Connection in Communities (SSCC) project has announced a new social connection seed grant opportunity for organizations within the Aging Network.
The goal of this grant program is to enhance the health of older adults and their caregivers by replicating and sustaining evidence-based and evidence-informed social connection programs, partnerships and referral processes in communities. Two of these organizations must be in western New York, specifically in one of the following counties: Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans or Wyoming.
The project will award 12-month seed grants of up to $35,000 to up to ten organizations to implement social connection programs in one of two tracks: Program Replication or Expansion or Cross-Sector Partnerships.
An informational webinar will be held on October 23.
The deadline to apply is December 5.
USAging's Aging and Disability Business Institute and engAGED: The National Resource Center for Engaging Older Adults are co-managing the SSCC supported by The John A. Hartford Foundation, the Health Foundation for Western & Central New York and RRF Foundation for Aging.
