Video Interview: HCCI Conversations With....Amy Berman
The Home Centered Care Institute (HCCI) has posted a new episode of their "HCCI Conversations With..." series featuring a video interview with Amy Berman, RN, LHD, FAAN, Senior Program Officer at The John A. Hartford Foundation.
Dr. Berman talks about the mission of the Foundation and how home-based primary care, along with other disciplines, fits within an age-friendly health system. She also discusses how these disciplines, such as home-based primary care and home-based palliative care can be brought together to serve frail elders, her perspective on payment reform and recent Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) changes for the field and the future, and the role that policymakers, health systems and front-line providers play in expanding access to this type of care, among other topics.
