NASHP Webinar Recording: Family Caregiving Policies and Innovations
The National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) held a webinar on February 20, "Family Caregiving Policies and Innovations."
The webinar provided an overview of the Recognize, Assist, Include, Support and Engage (RAISE) Family Caregivers Act, and discussed state and federal policies and initiatives to support family caregivers. State leaders from Tennessee and Washington state shared their policies and innovations to support family caregivers. Family caregivers provide an estimated $470 billion per year in unpaid care, and are a critical component for states seeking to support older adults and individuals with complex needs.
NASHP is leading the JAHF-supported RAISE Family Caregiver Resource and Dissemination Center.
