Webinar: Making Lemonade - Changing Long-Term Care for the Better

Center LT Cwebinar

The Center for Consumer Engagement in Health Innovation at Community Catalyst is holding a webinar on September 17, "Making Lemonade: Changing Long-Term Care for the Better."

COVID-19 has led to devastating impacts on the lives of older adults and their family caregivers, especially those that are receiving care in nursing homes and other congregate living communities. Similarly, low-income older adults living at home who receive Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) have been disproportionately affected by the virus, and COVID-19 has shed light on the inequitable long term care system.

During the September learning community call, speakers will discuss what it will take to build a long-term care system that puts the consumer at the center and identify the role of the advocacy community.

Speakers include:

  • Eric Carlson, Directing Attorney, Justice in Aging
  • Alison E. Hirschel, Managing Attorney, Michigan Elder Justice Initiative
  • Marjorie L. Waters, Community Organizer, Rhode Island Organizing Project
