Webinar: Younger Onset Alzheimer’s Disease - Exploring the Emotional Experience and the Importance of Community

The National Alzheimer’s and Dementia Resource Center (NADRC) is holding a webinar on October 29, "Younger Onset Alzheimer’s Disease: Exploring the Emotional Experience and the Importance of Community."

The webinar will cover:

  • Ways that younger onset Alzheimer’s disease differs from later onset;
  • Common emotions experienced in living with younger onset Alzheimer’s disease;
  • Common changes to relationships for people living with younger onset Alzheimer’s disease; and,
  • Ways to encourage community for people living with younger onset Alzheimer’s disease.

Presenters include Susan Frick, a licensed social worker who has worked for 22 years at the Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center in Chicago. She has directed Without Warning since 2004 which is one of the largest support programs in the country for those living with younger onset Alzheimer’s disease.

The webinar is part of the NADRC web seminar series, sponsored by the Administration for Community Living. It is being hosted by the American Society on Aging (ASA).
