WebMD and JAHF Partnership: New Age-Friendly Care Articles
Articles on palliative care, advice for caregivers and dementia care have been added to WebMD's age-friendly care page, produced in partnership with The John A. Hartford Foundation.
Age-friendly care is health care that meets your needs, preferences and goals as you get older. WebMD.com/agefriendly has dozens of articles, tools, videos, and other resources to provide older adults and their caregivers with information and tools they can use to learn about and receive age-friendly care. The page is also available in Spanish, "Adultos mayores de 70+: Cómo tener una vida saludable."
The resources are organized through the framework of the Age-Friendly Health Systems initiative's 4Ms: what Matters, Medication, Mentation and Mobility. The new articles are:
- Palliative Care: Living Well With Serious Illness
- Advice for Caregivers: Protecting Older Adults From Harm
- 5 Signs of Dementia You Need to Know
WebMD has also recently created a video series exploring age-friendly health care in three different settings: a university health center, a retail pharmacy clinic, and a VA medical center.
