Hosted by WebMD Chief Medical Officer John Whyte, MD, the interview discusses the situation in nursing homes during the COVID-19 pandemic, what steps are being taken, and what further actions are needed. Drs. Grabowski and Fulmer also discussed the Age-Friendly Health Systems initiative, the impact of no-visitor policies in nursing homes and creative ways that staff, residents and families are finding to reduce social isolation. Questions addressed the national and global context, nursing home staff and resources, and the need for getting ahead of the next crisis, among other issues.
