White House Healthcare Safety Forum: Meeting Recording
The Health Outcomes Division of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy convened experts from key health organizations, including JAHF, patient and workforce advocates, health system executives and Administration officials for a Healthcare Safety Forum on World Patient Safety Day, September 17. The recording is now available.
The Healthcare Safety Forum is designed to catalyze public and private action to achieve a milestone 50% reduction in patient and workforce harm towards the goal of zero preventable harm. The Forum also elevates best practices and builds on the momentum of recent efforts to enhance patient and workforce safety.
JAHF's Rani Snyder was one of the panelists at the Forum where she highlighted how the 4Ms of Age-Friendly care and the Age-Friendly Health Systems movement are enhancing patient safety. She was joined by Jewish Healthcare Foundation's Karen Feinstein and End Sepsis' Ciaran Staunton.
A set of Biden-Harris Administration and private sector actions was released as part of this event to address patient and workforce safety in our health care system.
