GEDC New Pathways to Practice: Residents E-Learning Series Offers Comprehensive Knowledge of Age-Friendly Care

GEDC e learning series

The Geriatric Emergency Department Collaborative (GEDC) has released a new series of e-learning modules, "Pathways to Practice: Residents."

The modules will help emergency medicine residents better understand how to effectively care for older adults in the emergency department. The series includes 19 modules that cover topics from medication management to palliative care.

Developed by GEDC Faculty Member Christina Shenvi, MD, PhD, MBA, FACEP, for the Syllabus for Advancing Geriatric EM Education (SAGE), the short modules can be completed in just 20 to 40 minutes.

Though the modules were created with residents in mind, they will be valuable for all health care professionals in the emergency department.

The courses are available at no charge with a free GEDC membership.
