Inaugural Issue: Introducing the Journal of Advanced Home Medicine

JAHM Inaugural Issue Updated Graphic

The Journal of Advanced Home Medicine (JAHM) has published its inaugural issue. JAHM is an international open-access journal focused on research and commentary on delivering acute and advanced medical care at home, with a particular focus on hospital at home.

The journal’s editorial leadership includes David M. Levine, MD, MPH, MA (Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School), and Bruce Leff, MD (Johns Hopkins Medicine), who lead JAHF-supported initiatives to scale hospital at home and home-based primary care. In an editorial introducing the journal, the editors note that while care has largely shifted to hospitals and other facilities, there is now a growing evidence base supporting advanced care in the home—and a need for a dedicated venue for this work.

JAHM is a collaboration between the American Academy of Home Care Medicine, the Hospital in the Home Society of Australasia, UK Hospital at Home Society and Taiwan Society of Health Care.

Submissions for the journal are now open, with detailed guidelines available here.
