NASHP Brief: State Innovations to Advance Respite Care
The National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) has released a brief, State Innovations to Advance Respite Care: Policy Strategies Shared at the State-Federal Respite Summit.
Earlier this year, NASHP hosted sixteen state teams and federal officials from eight federal agencies for a peer-to-peer learning exchange on innovative models, strategies and policies to increase access to high-quality respite care services.
These innovations touch on important themes such as awareness and outreach, education and strengthening the workforce, serving diverse populations, payment policy improvements and cross-agency collaboration.
NASHP released this policy brief outlining the respite innovations shared at the Summit that states can replicate.
