NBC Universal and Telemundo: Age-Friendly Care in Action at Northwell Health
The John A. Hartford Foundation partnered with NBC Universal and Telemundo to bring information about age-friendly care directly to the public in a televised segment aired on September 6 on NY Live and Acceso Total, "Living Your Best Life: Age-Friendly Care."
Joelle Garguilo of NY Live visited Northwell Health on Long Island and talked with a patient, Julia, and her daughter, Jeanette, along with Drs. Solis and Lopez of Northwell Health, and Terry Fulmer and Marcus Escobedo of The John A. Hartford Foundation, about what age-friendly care is and where you can find it. They explain the 4Ms of the Age-Friendly Health Systems initiative: What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility, and talk about what these mean in practice.
Older adults and family caregivers can also visit our webpage that provides accessible and actionable information for you to get age-friendly care. The webpage is also available in Spanish.
