NCEA Webinar: Reframing Elder Abuse in Long-Term Care (Part 2)

NCE Awebinar2

The National Center on Elder Abuse (NCEA) held the second of a three-part webinar, "Reframing Elder Abuse in Long-Term Care," from their Reframing Long-Term Care Lunch and Learn Series.

The series will feature 3 sessions on reframed Long-Term Care (LTC) outreach materials, how to apply this concept, and how to get others to join in the movement to address and prevent abuse in LTCs. The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) recently released a report with recommendations for how we finance, deliver, and regulate nursing home care. In response, the FrameWorks Institute developed new framing guidance on how to share the NASEM report. As these much-needed conversations around nursing homes get more attention, it’s important to frame the issue in productive, forward-looking ways.

The first webinar introduced the report and key concepts on how to use the communications tools to spread awareness among policymakers and community audiences. The second session focused on the process of applying the techniques to public-facing materials that can be used by organizations. The third webinar will be held on February 1, 2023.
