National Center to Reframe Aging Webinar: Connecting the Dots - Reframing Aging Across the Age-Friendly Ecosystem
The National Center to Reframe Aging (NCRA) is hosting a webinar on July 22 on how reframing aging can strengthen collaboration across the Age-Friendly Ecosystem, with a focus on health care settings.
Reframing aging is not just a communications strategy. It can help organizations challenge outdated assumptions about aging, build support for age-friendly efforts, and strengthen collaboration among health systems, public health agencies, community-based organizations and other partners working to improve the lives of older adults.
This webinar will explore how reframing aging strengthens multi-sector collaboration, with a focus on how the principles are reflected in health care settings. The speakers will share examples of how they are applying these principles in their work and offer practical tools for making age-inclusive communication a shared priority across age-friendly initiatives.
Speakers:
- Trish D'Antonio (moderator), Vice President, Policy and Professional Affairs, Gerontological Society of America; Executive Director, NCRA
- Timothy Farrell, Professor of Medicine and Geriatrics Division Associate Chief for Age-Friendly Care, Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine at the University of Utah; Physician Investigator, VA Salt Lake City Geriatric Research, Education and Clinical Center
- Alyssa Scully, Assistant Vice President of Operations, Northwell Health
- Megan Wolfe, Senior Policy Development Manager, Trust for America's Health
