NEJM Catalyst Call for Papers: Assessing Implementation and Impact of the 4Ms Framework to Advance Age-Friendly Health Systems - Special Theme Issue

NEJM Catalyst Call for Papers Innovations in Care Delivery

NEJM Catalyst Innovations in Care Delivery has a call for papers for its special theme issue, "Assessing Implementation and Impact of the 4Ms Framework to Advance Age-Friendly Health Systems."

This JAHF-sponsored issue seeks manuscripts that examine real-world implementation of the Age-Friendly Health Systems (AFHS) 4Ms Framework (What Matters, Medication, Mentation, Mobility) across care settings.

Submissions should demonstrate measurable improvement, address scale and sustainability and offer practical lessons that can inform broader adoption. Priority will be given to papers that assess all 4Ms as a set and show meaningful impact for older adults and family caregivers.

The submission deadline is June 1, 2026 and the special issue will be published November 2026.
