Serious Illness Messaging Toolkit Launched

Serious Illness Messaging Guide Brief

The Serious Illness Messaging Toolkit was launched during a virtual event on November 2, 2022. The Serious Illness Messaging Toolkit is an online resource for public messaging about care for serious illnesses.

The purpose of the toolkit is to support the way organizations talk to the public, and is based on a decade of research into what the public really thinks. Reboot the way you and your organization talk to the public (Hint: Advance care planning ≠ Palliative care ≠ Hospice).

Partner organizations include: AAHPM, the National Coalition for Hospice and Palliative Care, NHPCO, C-TAC, CAPC, the Conversation Project, Respecting Choices, AMDA-The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine, VitalTalk, Ariadne Labs, National POLST.
