WebMD and JAHF Partnership: New Age-Friendly Care Articles
WebMD has published two new articles and one refreshed resource as part of its Age-Friendly Care series created in collaboration with The John A. Hartford Foundation. The articles are now available in Spanish.
WebMD.com/agefriendly offers articles, videos, tools and other resources tailored for older adults and their caregivers. The content is organized around the Age-Friendly Health Systems 4Ms Framework (What Matters, Medication, Mentation and Mobility).
- "Preparing for Surgery: A Guide for Older Adults and Their Caregivers" helps older adults and caregivers plan for surgery by focusing on What Matters, reviewing medications, and maintaining mobility and mental health before and after a procedure. It includes practical checklists and communication tips for safer, age-friendly care.
- "Keep It Moving: Simple Ways to Stay Mobile as You Age" offers simple, realistic strategies to maintain mobility, balance and strength through daily movement and community support.
- "The 4Ms of Age-Friendly Care: A Checklist for Better Health as You Get Older" explains how the 4Ms Framework can be used as a simple guide to help older adults and caregiver partners have conversations with their health care providers for better, coordinated, person-centered care.
