Call for Applications: National Leadership Exchange on Ageism for Healthcare Leaders 3rd Cohort
The Maine Council on Aging, in partnership with the National Center to Reframe Aging, is accepting applications for the third cohort of the National Leadership Exchange on Ageism for Healthcare Leaders.
Designed for health care leaders, especially those leading and implementing Age-Friendly Health Systems initiatives across the country, the virtual leadership program provides 17.5 hours of interactive, peer-based learning focused on recognizing and addressing ageism in healthcare. Participants will explore how ageist attitudes and practices affect patient care and gain strategies to transform the way they think, talk and lead around aging.
Health care providers, administrators, educators and other leaders working to improve care delivery and patient outcomes are encouraged to apply. More than 400 leaders from health care, government, higher education, business and nonprofit organizations have completed the program.
The five-session virtual cohort will take place every other Thursday starting September 3, 2026 and ending October 29, 2026, from 12:30–4:00 p.m. ET. Space is limited to 30 participants, and accepted applicants will be notified by August 1, 2026.
